What could possibly prompt me to add to this blog for the first time in over 6 years?
Turns out it's the discovery that a new book is imminent.
Nothin' But A Good Time: The Spectacular Rise and Fall Of Glam Metal appears to have been crowdfunded and I'm gobsmacked I didn't know about it until today.
Described as 'A cultural history of Glam Metal: where it came from, how it defined America in the 1980s and how it all came crashing down', its officially published on Sept 3rd but you can get a feel for it on its Unbound page, including an excerpt. And maybe give author Justin Quirke a follow on Twitter.
Above all, do what I just did and order it.
